Greenhouse in January
Here at the Whimsy Dome, we have busy hands. Since pretty much day one, Sean and I have been hopping from project to project taking only momentary breaks in between.
This weekends plans were pretty wide open so on Friday after work we decided to head to Norway, MI to go and pick up three free lights from a car dealership that was upgrading their lighting. We looked it up and these puppies can be $300-800/piece! SCORE!
Saturday
Saturday morning I woke up early at 6:30 to head to work by 7 for my 7:30 AM personal training client. I took this video right on our way out of the house to head to the gym. Before we made it in the car Ozzy took off and was gone for nearly 30 minutes on one of the coldest mornings. Luckily he returned unscathed by one of the many dangers that lurk in our woods. (Owls, bald eagles, hawks, coyotes just to name a few) This was an easy lesson to learn and from now he will be a leash-dog! I'm grateful nothing happened, it was a blessing. After about an hour of coming down from the adrenaline high, we suited up for the cold and worked our way out to the greenhouse to access the situation of how we wanted to attack Operation Greenhouse Workbench.
Sean and I acquired some 18 foot long hemlock boards which we knew we wanted to use to create the workbench in the greenhouse with. We cleared the area of the greenhouse, took the measurements we needed and measure twice and cut once and before you know it we had built our brackets & braces and the table top was up! We also added a shelf up above for extra storage!
We took a break in the middle of building to go out and pick up yet another marketplace find. An antique granery scale. We called her and met up and actually offered to buy both! We are happy to be able to use the granary scale in the garden (for decoration mostly) and the produce scale in the greenhouse! We stopped for a bite to eat at Backwater Bar & Grill. It was such a cute place. Nice log cabin esthetic and we will definitely be coming back in the summer! They said they have lots of live music.
We came back home, finished up our batch of homemade blueberry wine. We racked the wine and bottled it up. This batch yielded us 6 bottles and some left over to use in my venison stew.Overall it was a very good weekend! I have a lot to be thankful for! Sean and I moved here 6 short months ago with a new home, a new community, and new careers. It was ALOT to get adjusted to and in many ways, we are still perfecting our daily routines. I am thankful for my circle of support! I am loved and have nothing but love to go around! Don't spend your life trying not to fall, spend it setting up systems to become aware you are falling and do what you need to do to get back up again as quickly as you are able! Live your best life as if it were already here. <3

Camilla, Nice read. Thank you for sharing. Sounds like you and Sean are good stewards of the gifts given you. I look forward to a day, when I can visit you both.
